https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2024/05/att-paid-bribes-to-get-two-major-pieces-of-legislation-passed-us-govt-says/

The US government has provided more detail on how a former AT&T executive allegedly bribed a powerful state lawmaker's ally in order to obtain legislation favorable to AT&T's business.

Former AT&T Illinois President Paul La Schiazza is set to go on trial in September 2024 after being indicted on charges of conspiracy to unlawfully influence then-Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan. AT&T itself agreed to pay a $23 million fine in October 2022 in connection with the alleged illegal influence campaign and said it was "committed to ensuring that this never happens again."

I guess all modern browsers automatically support htmlgz files etc. Basically just the html file gzipped, and that's it. Can be used as a direct replacement for html files.

Firefox has been destroyed by incompetent management and diversity hires.

Here's them digging their grave even deeper.

“Nabiha has an exceptional understanding of how technology, humanity and broader society intersect — and how to engage with the complicated challenges and opportunities at that intersection,” said Mark Surman, Mozilla Foundation President. “Nabiha will make Mozilla a stronger, bigger, and more impactful organization, at a time when the internet needs it most.”

No, you fucking retards. The internet needs a reliable, functional browser alternative to the monopoly of Chrome and Chromium-based browsers.

When Tesla died the government seized his papers. The scientist they went to to look at those papers to see if there was anything they could use was none other than Donald Trump's uncle who was a professor of high voltage technologies at mit. Here is his interview about that     (m.youtube.com)

The man interviewing him is also an interesting person. His name is Stan deyo d e y o. He later got very involved with the papers of Thomas Townsend Brown who invented high voltage anti-gravity devices which were flying around in the 40s and 50s and were the basis for many of the flying saucers scene then.

Stan Deyo later claim to know how to create some flying devices using it just electricity.

Visible by Verizon blocks catbox and fix using 1.1.1.1 by Cloudflare     (technology)

I've upgraded my sailfoam and wanted to give Visible by Verizon a shot. It's Verizon, just without stores and humans to talk, just online chat.

This phone can hold two SIMs, so I can maintain my regular carrier and Visible at the same time. Visible's one drawback is that they block catbox.moe...neither Xfinity nor T-Mobile block catbox. Although the 15 day card-free trial of the network is pretty sweet.

Since I'm a luddite, I discovered 1.1.1.1 is an app that runs a VPN on the phone (or some such technological loophole). While running that, using SIM data from Visible, I can get catbox to work just fine.

Again, luddite here...blackpill me on 1.1.1.1 by Cloudflare or Visible by Verizon.

https://mashable.com/article/apple-mac-cuckoo-malware

Mac users, beware. There's a new malware hiding amongst third-party apps that can steal your sensitive data. Everything from your Mac's hardware information, your notes, and saved passwords can be stolen. It can even capture screenshots of your computer while you use it.

This malware has been named Cuckoo by Kandji, an Apple device security company which recently published a report about its discovery. Here are some of the most alarming details about Cuckoo.

According to Kandji's report, Cuckoo was initially found packaged with a Spotify music downloader app called "DumpMedia Spotify Music." The app claims to help users rip music off of Spotify so they can directly download the audio file as an MP3.
