I'm driving home from work about 5:30 pm. As soon as I turn into my neighborhood Im behind a guy on an electric scooter. A cheap kids toy. Looked like a skateboard with a handle on it. I follow him for a couple blocks. Hes going about 20 mph.
He suddenly comes to a complete stop in the middle of the road. I give a short honk on the horn. Less than a second! Mostly meaning get out of my way but also because he may not know I'm there. I'm hungry as hell and just want to get home.
He kicks the kids toy into the opposite direction like he was offended and took off in the opposite direction. Now this guy is 6 ft tall and 18-20 years old. I go one more block and turn onto my street.
About 1/4 of the way down my street some other guy comes shooting out from between the houses on the same shitty little scooter and cuts me off! He says " honk yo fukkin horn at me!". Hes got a New jersey or Philly accent. Dipshit is about 6ft 220 lbs and 25 years younger than me.
I'm like "what?". Not believing this asshole. So he says it again " honk yo fukkin horn at me!" So I did. I laid on it! As soon as he cut me off I had put my pepper spray in my hand. He comes around to my side but staying about 12 ft away.
He MF's me, my mother, and all of my ancestors through history. All loudly with that ignorant accent. I give him the same back, because although I'm old and busted up its just my nature. I told him
go back to jersey you fucking bitch!".
He follows me! To my house! Now I'm getting pissed. I put my gun in my hand. I told him "you forgot where you're at pal". Meaning the gunshine state. I'm in my truck so he doesnt see my gun but he immediately knew what I meant. He said "you cant shoot me! I'm unarmed!". We fuck you'd each other a few more times and he left. if he had come near me I would have pepper sprayed or shot him. Depending on the circumstances.
Heres what jersey boy doesnt know about gun law. Theres a thing called Disparity of Force. A younger, larger, or numerically superior opponents can be shot if posing a threat. This guy had been acting completely nuts because I honked my horn at his nephew!
Florida is also a stand your ground state so once I was threatened his fate was up to him.
In retrospect I believe the asshole was drunk. The next day I thought that I should have suckered him into chasing me then slammed on the brakes! Theres no way a scooter with 3" wheels is gonna stop as fast as my truck!
I have a blink doorbell so I can record any motion and receive notifications. ILooking back it probably would have made the clown madder if I had laughed at him. Ive done that in the past and it deflates people.
