btw i used to think exactly the same way as you. i thought they were stupid. but i didn't buy it as a toy to print out anime figurines. i bought it as a tool, like an air compressor or impact driver.

problem with blender for me is it's not as good at designing parts. i've used it, never long enough to become really good, but i've used it. you may be right, i don't know. i havent tried using it for dimensionally accurate parts on this project. but one big thing, for example, is threads. autodesk makes threads easy. i say that as an example difference between the two, not as a point counterpoint kind of thing.

what i notice is their thinking is extremely incoherent. they have all these, what i like to call, narrative legos. narrative legos are little factoids from history, memes, factoids about how the government is supposed to work, factoids about some political happening, etc. I use the term factoid loosely because these factoids don't have to be true at all.

But what I observe is they piece together their comments using these narrative legos. Which explains why everything they say is so god damn incoherent. It's like watching modern Star Wars. Literally anything at all that fits right now to advance this particular plot is allowed.

Yeah, I agree they have a warped sense of reality. And why wouldn't they after the summer of love, especially when you contrast that with January 6th. Well then there was covid, and all the rest, I don't need to tell you. It makes sense they aren't in touch with reality.
