That's the one I was just thinking about. The one in North Carolina who let the shine go on a 1k bond for running over an 8 y/o niglet? It's a conundrum for sure. If a convict has been convicted of a violent crime and the judge shows leniency to a degree that basically lets them off with no jail time and the convict commits another violent crime within the time they would've been in jail,then the judge has to not only serve out the original jail time for the original crime,but serve the additional time for the second crime with the convict as their cell mate. We will probably require mixed gender prisons for this.
