I have never seen it this bad. Fucking fruit flies are bad this year.

Anyone else having issues with these pesky little beasts?

Poor boiling water or a mixture of baking soda and vinegar down your drains

Leave out bowls of apple cider vinegar with a bit of dish soap

Fucker, listen to me. Take an empty plastic water bottle. Cut the top off so that you are left with a funnel. Turn it upside down and insert it into the bottom part. Tape the edges shut or just leave them if they're tight. You now have a fly trap. Pour some of that solution people are telling you to make in the bottom so the flies drown in it. Make a bunch of these and spread them around.

My black bears are 500miles back home in Northern Ontario, I'm doing 4dsys a week in Toronto leasing my services to a crane rental company and staying in an RV, and it's here in the RV that I've got all of these fucking fruit flies...I'm going to set out the dish soap trap later today

I'll pass. Used to have around 5 mosquitoes per cubic foot in PA, around dusk. The woods back behind were wet, and apparently the perfect breeding conditions for mosquitoes.

Rain is next expected in October or November. The foliage is rather dry, and the hillsides have been characterized as 'golden'. Basically brown, but I think they were trying to upscale a bit and played off of that whole 'gold rush' event. Golden hills sounds better than 'the grasses have died of thirst'.

I'm staying in an RV for a few months while working Toronto and go home on weekends...I don't leave open fruit or veggies other than bulbs of garlic in the cooking area and garbage can is outside...it does not make sense to have all these fucking flies, and they're everywhere

Fruit flies are mainly attracted to extra ripe, fermenting fruits and vegetables. However, they are also drawn to things such as drains, garbage disposals, empty bottles and cans, trash bags, cleaning rags and mops. Essentially, they are drawn to food waste and moist environments.

Gotta do a through clean on the RV with a bleach solution. If you keep your windows closed, condensation from your breath at night might make the humidity attractive.

No. You've got those nigger plant flies. They do take little nibbles. I've had really bad fruit flies, but only when I lived in an apartment and had shitskin scum living near me.
