My old man just insulted me whenever I didn't do exactly what he wanted the moment he wanted it done. Or would scream and beat me with a belt when I gave him attitude. A lot of explosive anger issues.

He knows a lot of really useful shit (carpentry, welding, electrical, etc), but I had no desire to learn any of it because he is such a miserable, wrathful prick to work with. Pretty sure all the drugs and alcohol as a youth fried his brain.
