Seems to me, a "Non-GMO" label should just concern itself with the GMO part.
That's how you get DEI shit crammed in with everything else.

[ - ] observation1 1 point 10 monthsMay 27, 2023 08:40:14 ago (+1/-0)*

Yeah. I mean it says it right there. Non GMO on one and Organic on the other are 2 different labels and should not really be compared.

"Non gmo" soy or corn, at least tells you it isn't Monsanto pesticides gysophate, which something like 95% of soy in the u.s. market is. So I see it as a "not Monsanto" label, where there isnt an organic option. Always make it a point to get organic but, sadly, the soil is something they dont certify. We don't test or qualify the soil in any of our certifications which can make a radical difference on how much pesticides, plastics, metals, or pftas ultimately gets inside the food. So nothing beats do-it-yourself or knowing the growers.

And what would be the point of having the Non-GMO have the same requirements as USDA Organic?

[ - ] Master_Foo 0 points 10 monthsMay 27, 2023 13:36:15 ago (+0/-0)

"Organic" is a bullshit label.
In chemistry, "Organic" means it has a carbon base.
Oil is "organic".
"Organic" means you corn is made out of carbon.
GMOs are made out of carbon too.
It's a stupid label for stupid people.

OK autist.

organic (adj.)

4. denoting a relation between elements of something such that they fit together harmoniously as necessary parts of a whole.

Now you're a less-stupid person.

[ - ] Master_Foo 0 points 10 monthsMay 27, 2023 19:36:21 ago (+0/-0)

Which is meaningless when you are mixing beef and seasonings and cheese and tortillas and lettuce and tomatoes and olives and beans together make a burrito.
All these unrelated things crammed together in a way that can never happen in nature... but it's "organic".

It's a retarded label for retarded people.

[ - ] Prairie 0 points 10 monthsMay 28, 2023 09:02:44 ago (+0/-0)

The harmony is with health, unless you're saying a burrito is unhealthy.

The Kosher certification firms (mostly just 1 firm) almost totally own the USDA Organic certification industry now to.

FTN did a whole deep dive on the jews that battled to monopolize the kosher certification industry. And how they immediately began taking over the USDA Organic certification industry to.

Only addition I have is to check the origin country. USDA states that if another COUNTRY has equivalent standards for organic certification, they can use the USDA Certified Organic logo even though they or their facilities have not actually been certified by the USDA

Surely mexicans and chinese wouldnt lie to us for profit.

I wouldn't rely on Food Babe for accurate data. She's an attention crazed cunt. Edit: in other words, I'd check the appropriate websites first.

[ - ] carnold03 0 points 10 monthsMay 27, 2023 12:23:27 ago (+0/-0)

And those 'appropriate websites' you check first are?

[ - ] DonaldJTrump 1 point 10 monthsMay 27, 2023 12:45:32 ago (+1/-0)

This isn't rocket science. It's an image macro making claims about what one certification allows vs the other. Wouldn't one just check the non GMO project vs USDA websites and verify these claims before believing Food Babe? Have you ever heard any of the stuff that chick has said? Nuttier than a fruit cake.

[ - ] carnold03 0 points 10 monthsMay 27, 2023 18:04:17 ago (+0/-0)

That's nice, but what about those websites you mentioned?

[ - ] DonaldJTrump 0 points 10 monthsMay 27, 2023 19:50:54 ago (+0/-0)

Go check them yourself. My point was not to trust Food Babe for an accurate image macro. She's the sort of idiot who thinks bread preservative is the same as yoga mat plastic.

[ - ] carnold03 0 points 10 monthsMay 28, 2023 12:11:39 ago (+0/-0)

I never heard of "food babe" until yesterday and don't care, but it's unfortunate that you didn't have 'appropriate websites' to plug.

[ - ] Thyhorrorcosmic103 1 point 10 monthsMay 27, 2023 07:28:26 ago (+1/-0)

You trust the government?

[ - ] ItsOk2bArian 1 point 10 monthsMay 27, 2023 03:50:14 ago (+1/-0)

What the fuck are hexane and ractopamine? Now I gotta go down that fuckin' rabbit hole

[ - ] DonaldJTrump 0 points 10 monthsMay 27, 2023 15:57:47 ago (+0/-0)

Hexane will make the hairs on your neck stand up.. and give you cancer.

[ - ] TheNoticing 0 points 10 monthsMay 27, 2023 23:00:24 ago (+0/-0)

Can USDA be trusted?

[ - ] Leveraction 0 points 10 monthsMay 27, 2023 13:09:08 ago (+0/-0)

Nah, sorry "certified" organic is just as bad. It's nothing more than a gimic to charge more

[ - ] Prairie 0 points 10 monthsMay 27, 2023 08:58:01 ago (+0/-0)

It means what is says. The food is not a GMO. Choose your poison: normal GMO food, non-GMO, or the most expensive organic.

[ - ] Steelerfish 0 points 10 monthsMay 27, 2023 08:56:26 ago (+0/-0)

Unfortunately, There is no requirement whatsoever for the labeling meat that has been treated with the experimental MRNA vaccines.
