This true life movie was mentioned in The Greatest Story Never told. I plan on watching it this weekend. This is the true story of Cornelius Rost AKA Clemons Forell who escaped from a siberian gulag and made it home to Germany after WW2. It is in German but has English subtitles. Found another version that has English subtitles.
The way back with Colin Farrell is another amazing gulag escape movie. They traveled all the way to India. Through communist china. It made me teary eyed a few times. I'm going to watch your suggestion too. I love movies about the unstoppable human spirit. Good post
