The human brain has not evolved to interpret realistic moving representations as anything other than reality. Verbal/audio, the rousing speech/music that stirs emotions, was problematic enough before the motion picture came to prominence.
“I won’t fall for that, I’m too smart.” That’s not the way it works. If you wish to keep your own thoughts you need a basic understanding of logic and you need to stick to the written word.
