PolG disease is a mitochondrial disorder caused by mutations in the POLG gene. It primarily affects multiple organs, including the brain, nerves, muscles and liver, and can affect vision, there is no cure. Link.

Be thankful he didnt use some of that wealth to extract viable spermatozoa and artificially inseminate some hand-picked maidens to bear his offspring and families genetic line.
