chatGPT et al isn't as advanced as you think. It can't follow relatively simple logic, or solve some puzzles. It also fails on obvious puns and can't speculate believably about the punchline to a joke. A real time conversation will out it if you're one of those people who doesn't give the benefit of the doubt to non-congruent responses.
For example, u/Ozark asks if Gowithit likes dogs. In response he gets this odd response
"Really? The Joe reason? No way."
You might assume hes indignant at something from the response "really?" Maybe there was some guy, perhaps u/Joe_McCarthy who would attempt to prove if someone was a bot by asking an inane and useless question such as if you like dogs. Finally, he says "no way", and you might assume he means hes not going to entertain such bullshit tactics.
But heres the key thing: none of that shit matters, because at every step you've had to assume something unstated, abstract, vague, or lacking broader context. And once you see this style of rhetoric, you can't unsee it.
When chatGPT and similar are befuddled, these types of AI tend to answer with non-specific or open-ended responses, where the subject matter, and the context are vague and open to interpretation.
In this example, it is either its someone taking the piss about AI, or its AI. The first example is giving the benefit of the doubt.
Never give the benefit of the doubt. Never interpret. If the response is argumentative and hostile and lacks context it is, in my experience, a user account that is posting automated or semi-automated responses.
Blueberry bushes..lucky. Theres an open walnut tree in the alley but the squirrels win everytime. What do you do to prevent them? Also I'm a little excited because the house next door has now been abandoned for 2 years now so Im claiming that pear tree.
