Yeah & they are pretty easy to care for. Many reptiles require a licence, rules vary between states though.

Them and blue tongues are pretty common around my parts. They are retarded and have no fear of humans so they are easy to catch ...or step on apparently, they do get smooshed by cars a lot too. They can be really fast if they feel the need but they think their blue tongue's are scary so usually stand their ground. I have been bitten by a blue tongue once when feeding it and it did not hurt at all.
