1. fuck off. i aint wearing shit for a .01% killer

2. danish mask study found like 1% improvement when masking and social distancing

i find the lack of reason and choice of fantasy over science among these "experts" to be greatly disturbing. if you can smell a fart you can catch a virus. its as simple as that.

I wear a condom when I go out in this disease ridden society, better to be safe than sorry. That’s what my mommy always said. You ready to take my offer Paul?

Shut the fuck up neri. I have realized that you ARE in fact retarded. Who in the fuck posts a mainstream news article as a reliable source for facts?! Get the fuck outta here

“Most studies are observational and prone to all sorts of biases, but taken together there is a consistent finding towards face coverings having benefit both in protecting others if the wearer is infected and also to protect the wearer from others,” he told the Observer. “Estimates vary but they probably reduce transmission somewhere between 10 and 25%.”

So, if everybody is suffocating themselves, there is only a 75-90% chance of contracting a cold compared to not giving a shit.

Yup. Still not giving a shit.

Problem is the masks people are wearing were never meant for long duration use. Try checking your blood oxygen saturation level after wearing one for 10 minutes and you might be shocked.

They still think masks can save them, how cute.

At least you won't die from corona :D

[ - ] paul_neri [op] 0 points 2.8 yearsJul 19, 2021 01:18:43 ago (+0/-0)

Correct but I would certainly die and Voat and the wider world would be denied my sage soliloquies! I'm not sure you've thought your suggestion through.

“If you assume that a mask at least halves transmission..." Tang said

But there's no evidence of that and the masks people wear are all different and the mask studies done both before and after covid are consistent with the idea that the difference between masked and unmasked transmission is immeasurably small.

They are making policy recommendations on assumptions not supported by the data.

But I mean, everybody is vaxxed anyway right? So why do they keep getting sick?

Scientists have strongly endorsed the continued wearing of masks

Scientists?

"If you assume that a mask at least halves transmission" Assume? Is that how science works? Assuming?

"That should reduce infection rates" Should? Is that how science works?

"Most studies are observational and prone to all sorts of biases" Don't listen to studies. Is that how science works?

"but they probably reduce transmission" Probably? Is that how science works?

"probably does not provide great protection" Probably again?

"However, being in a jostling, shouting crowd outdoors is probably a greater risk than when you are walking on a quiet street." Probably again? This must be an important word in science.

Yes, one was from the University of East Angola! That scientist may even have an IQ above room temperature!
