My husband bought a bunch of spyware devices a while ago...

You don't have to be so worried about them. I mean, don't buy them, I wouldn't recommend them, I hated the idea of them, and still do BUT having said that I'm not sure about why they wouldn't give ghe public the full tech and have a better version secret like is so often theorised, because if it was better more people would buy it and they could spy on more people.

For example the voice recognition doesn't work 2 thirds of the time, so I have to repeat a bunch of time for personalised things like adding reminders or items to the shopping list.

And the speech recognition is awful, I ask for one specific light on and sometimes every light goes on. See if you can guess what these things on my shopping list are (close enough that I took it as a win and didn't delete them straight away):
□ scrub Spotify
□ Water Turgent

Also if you talk fast it can't even get the wake word. Although sometimes it hears random things and answers whatever question it thought it heard (but 100% of accidental wakes it doesn't even talk about anything related to the current conversation.)

So don't be too paranoid about "them"... or maybe I'm not being paranoid enough and they are fucking with me on purpose.

Its not the recognition on the device Im worried about. Its the microphone that is always "listening" and recording your private conversations for the NSA to listen in on.

Are you trying to trick people OP?

Yes always recording everything into massive memory banks for the NSA and who knows what. In the future when you become a problem they can have real people go back and listen to everything (all that meta data) picked up and analyze it properly.

Nope. Just passing on what I have learned first hand because I know you guys don't have this crap. The NSA can't listen to everything so it relies on the voice recognition to pick out key convos. But definitely putting my phone and all that crap in the microwave if I need to have a super private conversation.

"So don't be too paranoid about "them".."

That's something a jew would say.

If it's not working for you it's because you haven't trained the software to recognize your voice. You have to go through voice training so the AI can detect how you say different words and sounds.

Here's an article about Alexa: https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/how-to-train-amazons-alexa-to-recognize-your-voice#:~:text=%20How%20to%20Train%20Amazon%27s%20Alexa%20to%20Recognize,the%20Recognized%20Voices%20screen.%20To%20help...%20More%20

It's all being recorded either way. If you got one, turned it on and never trained it at all it'd still be sending everything it heard back "home". The UI being buggy is meaningless in regards to the privacy issue.

I did do the voice training but I refuse to do it more than once and the bitch asks me to retrain every day.

The jews are ugly little thieving, scheming goblins but they are not as high as IQ as they want you to think (just willing to be evil where others wont) and they are also cheap bastards who take shortcuts.

You have to train it more than once. You probably have an accent it has a hard time with. That said... don't use that crap. Throw it away.

just because it messes up when you need it does not mean its harmless. ai can listen, create transcripts of convo, identify sounds and voices, and review the greatest hits of your life with ai, with perfect recall. Bad enough our cell phones already do all this.

ive read stories of spouses discovering their partner was cheating from reviewing the recorded voice capture data from their google home. so its not even big govt agencies, its whoever has access to that account.

Never said it was harmless bu, yeah, that's where I couldn't fight the installation. We both have phones that already spying on us 24/7.

The device itself doesn't do any voice recognition. All the thing does is have an open mic and send everything it hears to a server, then the server does the voice recognition. Regardless everything is recorded and transcribed.

Just look at how advanced chinas public spying is, You would be silly to believe other governments dont have far more advanced stuff.

Yeah and I wonder how many perfectly compliant chinks have had all their organs stolen after the list makers fucking it up and how many rebels have great social scores. We can never know. Not good but it is good to know where the weak spots in the technology are. Lots of anti-face dection make up, haircuts, glasses and clothes for example.

That’s what you’re saying, but the NSA agent who can listen to the conversation because the AI picked up trigger words knows that I’m out here making plans for the future.

[ - ] Cunt [op] 0 points 2.7 yearsJul 6, 2021 14:22:59 ago (+0/-0)

If making sensitive plans put your phone and all other spyware in the microwave or something. I'm saying AI might not be getting all their trigger words and are also getting a lot of boring conversations flagged mistakenly (which is time wasting for them).

[ - ] Her0n 0 points 2.7 yearsJul 6, 2021 20:56:34 ago (+0/-0)

I start every non-vital conversation with trigger words so they can listen to my wife and I argue about which restaurant we are visiting this month. Phones aren’t even around when we meet for important shit.

Her husband bought the spy device, and she uses it. They're both fucked.
