The problem that I have with most "protests" these days is how disorganized all of the good causes are. There's not really any deep thinking and clear message in the protest itself; it's just a group of people that realize that they're hanging out with their friends, start a party, break some stuff, take some pictures, and then act like they changed the world on social media with only about 5 pictures picked out of the hundreds that they took at the event that show how dysfunctional everything really was.

What the fuck do you expect? They're way more people alive today, way more people crammed in cities, and modern entertainment is watering down shared culture.

That the people are protesting at all it's a sign that shit is really bad. Don't dunk on that.

I appreciate your words the most. I'm not bashing the right to protest; that's sacred. I'm bashing the ability that people have leading a protest to make an effective statement. So far, the most recent form of a well thought out protest was the guy who dressed up as the Monopoly guy from the Mark Zuckerberg Congressional meeting. That sent a statement. I haven't seen many other forms of sending an effective message in many other places.

You're not seeing it because the media doesn't cover any protest that threatens the elites. Look at how hard they spun Occupy Wallstreet.

They're not dancing on top of it and setting it ablaze.
