Turtle Rock Studios are the developers who created the original Left 4 Dead - a ridiculously popular 4-player co-op shooter game that still has a loyal player base to this day. While Valve's internal team created a much more popular sequel, the franchise has been languishing to this day.

Turtle Rock attempted to catch lightning in a bottle a second time when they released their asymmetrical multiplayer game Evolve.

It was around this time that Turtle Rock started attracting the woke crowd during the start up of serious incursions into the gaming hobby.

Josh Olin, the community manager for the developer in 2014 tweeted a defense of L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling's right to free speech while denouncing his statements. This was all the self-righteous needed and pounced. Turtle Rock did what any company faced with an angry mob of Twitter activists would do. They fired his ass.

Let's fast forward to 2021.

Since this incident scared the hell out of them, Turtle Rock went back to the drawing board and started working on something that might do better than Evolve did - Back 4 Blood (or Left 4 Dead 3).

They've also been doing some staff shuffling.

Now what might that have to do with their upcoming shooter, you ask? Well, they didn't just diversify up their staff. They also did it to their game.

8 Playable Characters announced for Back 4 Blood. 4 were shown in the Alpha with one teased.

We have strong black male Walker.

All of this reeks of the trend in franchises like the Marvel, Uncharted, etc. where the old white male exists solely to pass the torch to the younger and more vibrant diversity characters

While all of this is not conclusive proof of pozzing, pattern recognition suggests it's a strong possibility given the existing evidence.
