The first half is interesting and worth looking into. Then they shit all over it with fantasy level bullshit about Chinese slavery. The Chinese couldn't wait to get to "Gold Mountain"; British Columbia where they were building the railroad through some of the most dangerous geography in the world. They lied, cheated and did anything to get there.

The story is that one man died for every mile of track they laid down, and from handed down stories it's probably accurate. The Canadian men were outraged on two accounts; They wanted and needed the jobs, and using Chinese labor ensured that safety wasn't any priority or consideration for any. The Chinese workers weren't safe workers at all.

They were angry because both Whites and Chinese were considered expendable. The Chinese were too racist to give a shit what any Lo Fun said about anything.
